After it Settles

You've survived a catastrophe. Now, as you put the pieces together there is the psychological trauma that follows. There may be nightmares, hypersensitivity, sleepless nights, changes in eating, and physical ailments.  These are part of the process of dealing with tragedy -- your body is undergoing traumatic stress. It doesn't mean you're going crazy, and it is nothing you've done wrong. Know that it is perfectly normal, and that it's OK to talk about it.

We pray for you and for your emotional healing. You are not alone, and it is OK to reach out and talk to someone about it. It won't be easy in the months to come, but each day it will get a little bit better.
Your healing will come, even if the process is long.

We are with you always in prayer.
